Keystone was established to navigate the challenges and opportunities presented by the internet and digital technology. With roots in Boston and San Francisco, our presence has grown around the world, expanding to New York City in 2010, Seattle in 2015, London in 2022 and Dubai and Washington DC in 2025.
We were built on the belief that the world needed a technology-native advisory firm to protect and create value around “transformative innovations” —technical, economic, and business model breakthroughs, from early machine-learning techniques to today’s advanced AI systems, reshaping markets and creating trillion-dollar science-driven firms with enormous ecosystems.
Keystone’s “Triad of Skills”— which evenly balances technologists, economists, and management scientists — has made the firm a highly-trusted partner in helping enterprises navigate high-stakes litigation, regulatory complexity, and platform risk.
In 2003, we launched Keystone to help large enterprises navigate transformative technology, innovations and ecosystem competition. Today, we advise technology, healthcare, large enterprises, governments and private equity on legal, regulatory and strategic challenges and opportunities.
In 2023, we launched Keystone AI as to transform manufacturing supply chains from their core with foundation models. We spun this business out of Keystone as a standalone enterprise software company in 2026.
We focus on solving critical legal and regulatory issues for tech and tech-adjacent companies across six practice areas. Our clients also have access to our network of affiliate experts from industry and academia who provide deep subject matter knowledge and expert testimony.
