Steven is an Engagement Manager in Keystone’s Technical Investigations & Risk Advisory practice, based in Washington DC. He leads data science–driven investigations for high-stakes litigation and regulatory matters involving artificial intelligence, complex data systems, and economic crimes.
Prior to joining Keystone, Steven was an Associate Director and Senior Data Scientist at Berkeley Research Group (BRG), where he led the development of MLOps pipelines for NLP and generative AI applications in legal and regulatory contexts. Earlier in his career, he served as a Senior Data Scientist at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, where he led the design of the Drugs Monitoring Platform using large-scale text analytics and entity extraction to combat economic crime and corruption. He has also held senior data science roles with Global Integrity, Dentons, and the Council of Europe.
Steven’s research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and international policy outlets, and he was featured on the NVIDIA AI Podcast discussing AI-powered investigative analytics for economic crime.
Outside of work, Steven enjoys international travel and staying engaged with global data science and policy communities.
